Tara Da Re

Tara Da Re is the Managing Director of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice (CACJ), where she has worked for more than 11 years in a variety of roles, from administrative assistant to program management, design and development, and now organizational leadership.

Over the years, she has helped shape CACJ’s major seminars, including the 1,500+ attendee Capital Case Defense Seminar, along with member resources, communications, and day-to-day operations. She continues to support the work of CACJ’s staff, Board of Governors, committees, and volunteers.

Tara graduated from UC Davis and has built her career in the nonprofit and association world, with ongoing professional development in communications, leadership, contract management, AI ethics, event planning, financial metrics, and sustainability. She enjoys learning new tools and approaches that help strengthen programs and improve operational efficiency.

She lives just outside Sacramento with her husband, their child—who is majoring in Architecture—and their collection of pets. As a family, they enjoy board games, camping, and home DIY projects, and Tara also enjoys stained glass as a hobby.
