John Frith

John is an award-winning writer and video producer who specializes in helping associations and businesses tell their story in a compelling and effective way through earned media, op-eds, social media, newsletters, and other appropriate tools.

John began his career as an award-winning political reporter in Southern California before embarking on a PR career including service as a Congressional press secretary and a state PR director before segueing into association work. Associations served include the CA Building Industry Assn., the Civil Justice Assn., the BIA of Southern California, and the CA Alliance for Jobs.

Since 2016, he has been owner and chief content officer for the Write Stuff Communications, where clients have included the Family Business Association, the North State BIA, the Farm Credit Alliance, local Realtor associations, and Bank of America. During that time, he dramatically increased coverage for BofA in the Fresno-Visalia market by developing solid relationships with area reporters and editors, leading to more than 90 media hits in 2024 alone. He has helped craft and then place op-eds for in the Sacramento Business Journal, Sacramento Bee, Los Angeles Times, and San Francisco Chronicle and also tells clients’ stories through blog posts, website content, and social media.
