Sarah Akbari

As the Community and Partner Engagement Coordinator at Visit Bend, Sarah acts as a connector between Bend’s hospitality sector and the local community. Working within the Destination Stewardship department, she oversees partner relationships, group sales operations, sponsorship programs, and joint marketing strategies. Sarah’s interest in tourism grew from her time in the Resource Assistance for Rural Environments (RARE) AmeriCorps program, where she worked with a rural food hub and managed agritourism initiatives. Today, she is excited to work in Bend's hospitality and tourism world, while promoting her home state of Oregon.
