Washington Society for Association Excellence Merger is Official!

This past Monday, Dec 15, the WSAE members voted to approve the merger with Associations West. We are proud to now truly be the association of the West!

WSAE brings a rich history of member engagement, learning and community, and will include 200 additional members to join our crew of 1,400. We are grateful for the trust and confidence they’ve placed in us, and we’re thrilled at the additional expertise our new colleagues will bring.

If you’d like to know more about the details, you can read the term sheet that was negotiated with the WSAE Board. The merger (technically an acquisition) is the second for Associations West since 2022, when we merged with the Oregon Society of Association Management.

Important 2026 dates to keep in mind:

• Jan - Feb – Transition begins (data & financial transfer, etc.)

• March 1 - WSAE members officially become AW members

• March - April - onboarding & welcoming of WSAE members
